Since NJ is one of the three readers of this blog, I want to be sure this is here 😀 (xoxo, NJ!)

****************

I virtually never take people to the airport when the leave from a visit. I usually have some good reason: have a work deadline, need to cover a nap for a kid… and I don’t love to drive that much. So Jim almost always does it.

Now I know the real, subconscious reason I don’t like the airport thing: It’s sad. I took Nancy Jane to the airport today and I felt kinda sad all day long. Just to be clear – I always miss her when she leaves. I guess I just get to kind of gloss it over and get busy really quick so it doesn’t feel so… well, dramatic. Let’s face it – airports are just kind of dramatic feeling. All the people hugging at the curb and carrying big giant suitcases. They are leaving. That’s just kind of sad.

Not to be all depressing because we had such a lovely visit with NJ. She and Jim skied two days and they both kicked some serious booty on the slopes, I hear. (They were the ones telling me the stories… I’m just saying :-b) We ate lots of delicious food (a benefit of NJ visits each of both times per year) and had tons of great conversations. NJ even helped me get a really important work thingy done. Just goodness all around.

Here are some photos to give you a little window into the visit. I already can’t wait to see you in May, NJ! xo.

*Somehow this never got posted… * It’s from January.
