Suttle Lake – Not So Subtle Us

We took a short road trip to Suttle Lake today, which is about 45 minutes from our house. A lovely day in so many ways; stunningly blue skies and warm temperate weather, a whole day with no other commitments, and happy dispositions all around. There’s just something primally exhilirating about pristine nature (see Annika running in this photo for an example of “primal exhilir[ation]”.)

All began dressed.

Hard to resist feet in the water with this beautiful pebbled beach.

“Don’t get your undies in the water, Serena! We don’t have towels or more undies!”

“I want to go see that duck!”

Exhiliratingly freezing cold water in which they would have waded for hours, if we had the time. Unfortunately, we had not towels, no sunscreen, no hats… really no preparation at all for water play. We thought we were just going to take a hike along the lake. Ha. Haa. Haaa!

Check it out! I’m in this freezing cold water!

Fun!
